Monday - September 3 - Labor Day, so one more day off with my sweet Sandy. I had to take her collar out one more notch :-( She has just about grown out of her baby collar. I am so sad. She is getting so big.
Tuesday - September 4 - Some days I can get my sweet little kitty-girl to sleep in my arm. She took a nap in my arms, but then she is just irresistible to kisses and pictures. I mean, look at that face, she is just precious!
Wednesday - September 5 - Jeff said that for about 30 seconds I had all of the furry babies with me in bed together - Angel on my chest, Bear at my feet and Sandy at my crotch (I cannot think of a better way to describe her position). Jeff said that after that bear swatted at Sandy and she left. Well, it is a start!
Thursday - September 6
Look at how long she is getting! Check out that paw...all sorts of colors!
Jeff stepped on Sandy's toy and so he bought her a new one. It looks like an animal tail. Kind of gross, but she seems to like it.
Friday - September 7 - I worked all day and then worked the Football Game and did not get home until 11 PM. Such a long day and so tired!
Jeff texted to let me know that Sandy had chewed his iPhone chord. I reminded him that she is just a baby.
More playing with her new toy.
Saturday - September 8 - I am going to add in a little Puppy Pool Day in here. Luke, Mom, and I went up to the Grapevine Pool down the street for their Doggie Dive in. A little history. The first year we took him up there, I decided to enter him into some contests - all he wanted to do was swim back and forth and back and forth. He was "that dog" on that day. At that point, I decided that he should not ever be entered into any of the contests. The second year, his vaccinations were not up to date, so he cold not go. Last year, mom came with me and I had a plan. Same as this year. Get him in, registered, and to the kiddy pool as quickly as possible.
While I was trying to fill out the form this year and last year, he went crazy. All he wanted to do was to get to the Pool. This year, he jumped up on the table where I was trying to register him. In all of this, I started to cough. I think that a piece of my Grape Nuts somehow jumped into my throat and I start coughing. At this time, somehow Luke gets out of his harness. So I am coughing, trying to get my dog back into his harness, and they are saying "as soon as you get him inside, you can let him off his leash". Dang that registration. It gets me every year. So after what seems like forever, I am coughing, tearing up, and slobbering because I have no hands and I am leaning over my dog fighting to get him back in his harness, I get Luke back in his harness and now we are off to the pool. They are telling me that I can let him swimming the big pool - oh no. He needs to be in the baby pool because he does not behave like a normal dog in the pool. All Luke wants to do is swim back and forth, back and forth, etc. For about 40 min, this is all that he did.
But, I go through all of this for my precious puppy. Look how happy he is!
I was still tired from the week and then man-handling my dog whipped me out. Nap time with my kitty!!! Check out the Sea Camp Tie-died T-shirt :-)
