Monday, August 13 - Well, Sandy got even more bold. When I was upstairs changing, apparently I was up there too long. She came all the way upstairs. I went downstairs to do the dishes and she decided up go back up stairs. I went to check on here and she came face to face for the first time with Angel. Angel hissed once and then ran away.
Tuesday, August 14 - not much today other than looking cute. I went to Painting with a Twist and painted my sweet Angel.
Wednesday, August 15 - I have a fear that I will have another diabetic cat. Angel has to have 2 shots a day of insulin. I blame my father. Odd, I know. When I decided I wanted a cat in college, my father said to me "How are you going to pay for her if she gets sick?". I think he jinked her. Poor girl. She was healthy for years - despite her bulimic moments (if the bowl is empty, when it is re-filled, she will eat and eat until she gets sick and then throws up...ugh.). She went from about 10 pounds to 6 pounds. I will forever love Dr. Campbell for figuring out what was wrong with her. The vet before her just said that she had a nervous stomach and would be fine...no she would not have. So, what does this have to do with Sandy. I want her to have a good food with lots of good protein and little carbohydrates. Many a cat lover, professional, crazy cat people that have stores just for cats (love it!), say that in nature, cats in nature don't go into a corn field and chew on corn. They are carnivores. She was eating Neutro, but I did some research and they have had some recalls. Not for my precious kitty. Luke, my dog, is now eating better food from a fancy dog place. They carry a little bit of cat food too. We will see how this goes. It smells bad, but if it is good for her, then I can deal. Only the best for my Sandy girl...I hope!
Sandy helping me with the computer!
Thursday, August 16 - Vet day. She meowed the whole way there. Once we got there, she got very upset and so I took her out. I felt like I had a real child. I walked her around to see the ladies at the desk, we looked at the fish, and then we went back into the crate. She was good for the vet until they took her back to draw blood for the Feline Leukemia test and the FIV test. She screamed bloody murder while they took the blood. It was horrible having to listening to it. She ran back into my arms. Poor sweet girl. She got her shots and I was told that she may be tired. Poor little thing. She has been so tired today, but she curled up with me a lot today.
Friday, August 17 - Garage Sale Day. We took Sandy upstairs to really meet Bear and Angel. They were sleeping together. I put Sandy on the bed with the "big cats". Bear hissed and hissed, Angel grumbled and hissed, but neither moved.
This video speaks for itself. Just the cutest kitty in the world!
Saturday, August 18 - More Garage Sale today. Mom came over to help and she got some Sandy love. Apparently Mommy's spot on the couch is the favorite for both Luke and Sandy.
