Sandy - Week 2

Saturday, July 21 cont. - Sandy and Luke had another meeting.  It went better than the rest.  I sat on the floor with Sandy.  Luke was still harnessed.  He licked, nosed her, and rolled her into a ball.  She did not try to run away...progress!

Sandy with Luke and Sandy all wet with puppy slobber.  Yuck.  She got her first towel bath.

Because I cannot resist more cute Sandy pictures...this is the reason that I started the Sandy Blog.

Sunday, July 22 - Sandy got some new toys from the toy box that I gave to my parent's Andy.  I bought this for Andy and did not play with is much, so now it is Sandy's!  Andy is a beautiful white and gray cat.  He is full of personality and loves his feather toys way too much.  Here is Andy sitting inside an Ozarka bottle box.

Andy...and Sandy.  They rhyme!

Luke watching the door waiting for sissy to come out...or so that he can bark at her when she sticks her paw out from under the door.

Since Sandy likes to bite now, mommy likes to have something for her to chew on other than my hand.

Monday, July 23 - Just another day in kitty paradise.  Favorite things to do: play in the wicker trashcan and attach feet - especially while walking!

Jeff picked up Sandy in the basket.  More chew toys that are not mommy's hand.

Jeff got home and she ran from her basket and then flew over Jeff's foot.

Tuesday, July 24 - Megan's kids came over to see Sandy.  I am trying to get her used to other people.  Meg said, are you sure...yes!  So, Alexa and Luke came over to visit the kitty.  You would think that the kitty would be traumatized by Alexa pushing Sandy into the basket and walking around with her and then dumping her out, Luke chasing her around the room, but no.  When they stopped chasing her, she would stop and look back to see where they were.  I think that she was JUST fine.

Another chew toy that is not my hand.  This white angel was given to Angel, but is now Sandy's.

This is what happens when my foot comes uncovered or I am walking around.
Check out the one pink pad...cuteness!

Wednesday, July 25

Let me try to explain the mouse toy.  Mom and I went to Grandbury to visit Aunt Barbara (my Godmother who's health is very poor).  We were gone most of the day and Jeff was in Houston for a funeral, so I guess she was upset and pushed her toy under the door.  Honestly, I am kind of impressed.

I just love these pictures with the ball.  It was given to her because...again...she was biting mommy's hand.

Thursday, July 26 - Vet visit #2.  2.2 pounds from 1.7 pounds last week.  Sandy got her first shot.  She was just terrible! She cried a bit, but that turned into screaming very quickly.  She yelled and yelled until we got into the room.  I let her out and she immediately stopped and ran to the edge of the table.  Like a good mommy, I kept her from jumping a long way to the hard floor.  What was my reward, a firm bite...over and over and over again.  I finally put her back in her crate while we waited for the vet.  She was a little surprised when she walked in to find Sandy in her crate.  I told her that she was biting my hand when I was trying to save her from jumping off the table.  Silly kitty.

But then there is this...sleeping on mommy like a sweet girl!

And she was helping daddy read the newspaper.

Friday, July 27 - Well, I attempted to get her collar on today.  Total fail... 4 times.

Failed attempt 1 and 2...

Failed attempt 3 and 4.

So I snuck it on her while she was sleeping...that was failed at temp #4.

And then a few more pictures.

Oh yes.  And she got into Luke's food bowl.

Saturday, July 28 - Still has her collar on.

Sandy likes to sit up on the pillows and on my shoulder.

Oh yes.  She found the TP too.  Luke was in and she was being very quite.  I got a little worried...almost an entire roll on the ground.  Now the TP sits on the sink counter.  Bear-cat liked to do this too.  We wasted many a roll of TP on Bear.
